Dr. Hale
Dr Hale graduated from Michigan State University in 1977. He grew up in Michigan and began his veterinary career there. After several years he decided to start moving south away from the long and cold winters. His first stop was Fayetteville, Arkansas. Here he worked for the University of Arkansas. He was also the small animal veterinarian for a mixed practice in town. For 9 years he worked with the Ozark Humane Society in the capacity of Board member, president and treasurer. His main concern was welfare of the animals that ended up in the shelters due to overpopulation caused by poor education and lack of spaying and neutering programs in the area. He went on to create many programs and built a state of the art shelter which served as a central facility for education and the development of many community programs based around animal welfare. Obviously he did not do all this by himself and is recognized for his ability to organize and get groups to work together and solve many of the problems that existed in the area for a long time prior. He moved to Florida in 1998 to become chief of staff at Vetsmart hospital now known as Banfield. He then became an adjunct instructor at St Petersburg college teaching veterinary technology. In 2005 he started Vets In The City and is enjoying taking care of all his wonderful clients pets. He is married and has 4 beautiful children, 5 cats and a Newfy.
